Scale Mode
Project screen: set ROOT (C–B) and SCALE (19 scales, or OFF for fully chromatic). When a scale is active, note entry in the phrase editor steps through only in-scale notes; up/down moves whole octaves snapped to the scale.
Per-instrument SCALE field:
PROJECT— inherit the project scaleOFF— all 128 notes available (use this for drum kits and slice samplers)- Own scale + ROOT — instrument uses its own key, ignoring the project scale
Already-entered notes are never changed by scale mode — it only guides new edits.
