Song END Blocks
Press B on an empty song cell to place an END block (displayed as EN; scrolling a cell's value up past chain 7F reaches the same thing).
When the sequencer reaches an END block on a channel, that channel stops permanently; it will not restart until Play is pressed again. Pressing B on an END block clears it back to empty.
END blocks are useful for stopping individual channels before others: e.g. place EN on channels 4 and 5 in a later row to let drums and bass loop while keys and arp go silent.
Two things worth knowing: an END block only stops a channel when playback reaches it while running. If you start playback directly on a row that already has EN in it, that channel doesn't stop, it just sits idle for 16 rows before scanning forward as usual. And because of independent channel advancement, each channel only checks for an END block when it's actually its turn to advance, so the exact moment you'll hear it stop depends on that channel's own pacing, not the
global row counter.
